Credit for Hub Meetings
2011/2012 Peak Area Leadership in Science Workshops
You must attend the entire Hub meeting and be an active participant
in order for your attendance for that meeting to count.(You cannot leave early or arrive late and still receive credit.)

We will have six full day (7.5 hr) meetings and four afternoon/evening (3.75) hour meetings. (no quarter hour credits)

To earn 0.5 credit, you must attend at least two 3.75 hour meetings (or one full day meeting).
To earn 1 credit, you must attend at least 15 contact hours such as four 3.75 hour meetings or two full day meetings.

To earn 1.5 credits, you must attend at least 22.5 contact hours.

To earn 2 credits, you must attend at least 30 hours.

To earn 2.5 credits, you must attend 37.5 hours.

To earn 3 credits, you must attend 45 hours.

To earn 3.5 credits, you must attend 52.5 hours.
You may choose one of the following credit options for the 2011-2012
Peak Area Leadership in Science Hub Meetings: (Deadline for applying for any type of credit is May 12, 2012)
- Professional Contact Hours may be available through your own school
district or through Cheyenne Mountain District 12. The cost varies from
district to district; documentation of professional contact hours is
available free through D-12 but you must provide us with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Check with your district to be sure that they will accept in-service credits awarded by a different district.
- Colorado School of Mines Teacher Enhancement Graduate Level, Non-degree, Relicensure Credit (Letter grade A or B) Course # CT-1200-12S
Please note: Recertification credit is not applicable toward a CSM degree program.
$35 = .5 credit; $50 = 1 credit; $80 = 1.5 credit; $90 = 2 credits;
$120 = 2.5 credits; $130 = 3 credits; $160 = 3.5 credits; $170 = 4 credits.
Colorado School of Mines Credit with a Letter Grade of B
Grade Requirements: Attend and be an active participant in all
sessions of the workshop.
Colorado School of Mines Credit with Letter Grade of A
Grade Requirements: Attend and be an active participant in all
sessions of the workshop and complete a Reflective Journal
which consists of your notes from each meeting you attended
plus the insights you gained.
Deadline for your journal is May 12, 2012. The journal will be
turned in to your district Hub Coordinator* who will check it for
quality and determine your grade.
The Hub Coordinators ask that you let us know which credit option
you choose no later than our March Hub Meeting. CSM Course
Credit Forms will be available at all meetings, but they will not be
sent in to CSM until May. Request for CSM transcript forms will
be available at those meetings also. Credit will not be available
until the middle of June, 2012.
